The Situation in El Hoceima: a meeting Gathering civil society and Governmental Department
Desirous to interact with NGO’s involved in the Situation in El Hoceima and enlighten up public opinion, the Government organized on July 6th, 2017, a meeting with civil society organizations and departmental sectors, coordinated by the Ministry of State for Human Rights.
During this meeting, Mr. Mustapha Ramid, the Minister of State for Human Right, presented an overarching account about the situation in the said city. There were also presentations delivered by representatives of the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education, and Scientific Research; The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests; Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Equipment, Logistics and Transportation regarding the development of projects in the city.
This meeting was also marked with a four-hour debate in which the representatives of the associations belonging to the Moroccan Coalition for Human Rights Bodies, Civil Fabric for Rights and Liberties, National Rif Initiative and government representatives took part. The interveners addressed a numbers of issues of utmost importance touching on the intervention of public authorities, arrests and related government’s approach.
