Mapping the Stakeholders: a Training Session in Favor of NGOs Concerned with the Rights of the Child
The Ministry of State for Human Rights organizes a training session in partnership with the UNICEF from March 30th to April 1st, 2018 at the hotel Omnia in Tangier. This training session targets regional networks concerned with the rights of the child, namely the Regional Union Network to Promote the Rights of the Child(the Region of Tangier- Tetouan-Hoceima), and the Associative Network to Promote the Rights of the Child( the Region of Fez-Meknes).
It seeks to enhance civil society associations’ capacities to identify child conditions and set the map of the stakeholders.
The meeting agenda involves the delivery of presentations and the organization of workshops about map - making mechanisms and techniques in relationship with to the stakeholders’ roles. Members of the two Networks, staff of the Ministry of State for Human Rights and experts in the field will supervise the training.
This training session is a step in a large Partnership Program with UNICEF launched in 2012 to enhance the capacities of the associations regarding effective advocacy, strategic partnerships, knowledge and management. In six years, 16 training sessions have been organized in the regions of Marrakech-Tensift-El Haouz, Souss-Massa-Daraa, Tangier-Tetouan-Hoceima and Fez-Meknes about the international normative framework related to the rights of the child, the mechanisms to promote and protect children and the integration of the rights of the child in public policies. Hence, four associative networks have been set up in the regions of Tangier- Tetouan-Hoceima, Fez-Meknes, Souss-Massa and Draa-Tafilelt.
