Press Release about Amnesty International Organization’s Annual Report 2017-2018 on the State of the World’s Human Rights
Moroccan authorities have taken knowledge of Amnesty International Annual Report 2017-2018 on “the State of the World’s Human Rights”, especially the chapter about the Kingdom of Morocco, presented by its branch in Morocco, in a press conference held in Rabat on Thursday, February 22nd, 2018.
After a preliminary study, Moroccan authorities noticed, once again, misinformation, use of generalities and value judgments. The methodology adopted by the Organization in elaborating its reports on the state of human rights in Morocco presents impartiality and lack of objectivity and accurate documentation of the allegations.
Following the Government decision to interact with reports emanating from national and international NGO’s and the establishment of a permanent mechanism to deal with, Moroccan authorities will reply to the report’s data and assessments, which do not reflect the real situation of human rights in the Kingdom of Morocco.
