The Minister of State in charge of Human Rights and the Relations with Parliament
Mr. El Mostafa Ramid, who was appointed by His Majesty as the Minister of State for Human Rights and the Relations with Parliament on October 8th , 2019 , was born in Sidi Banour area on January 1st, 1959. He studied in Hassan II University in Casablanca and held his LL.B degree in 1980. He then graduated from Dar El Hadith El Hassania Institution in 1982 specialized in Islamic jurisprudence and its canons and worked as a lawyer in 1984.
He had been elected as a representative in the Parliament for three consecutive terms and chaired both Justice and Development Party Team in the House of Representatives for 10 years and Justice, Legislation and Human Rights Committee within the same House consecutively for two terms.
He had been a member of the Human Rights Advisory Council for two consecutive terms and had chaired El Karama Forum since 2006 until he was appointed as the Minister of Justice and Liberties on January 3rd , 2012. He was also awarded, by His Majesty, the Royal Decoration of the National Reward as a High Officer on August 1st, 2013.
